Arehart’s Glass is a company based out of Alaska, we are a husband and wife team and travel with our 2 dogs, Romeo and Cocoa from state to state, show to show. We are currently traveling “The Lower 48” as us Alaskans’ like to say. We purchased a Road Warrior 5th Wheel Toy Hauler in 2014 and turned the cargo area into Adam’s Mobile Glass Studio. Well, four years later and OVER 100,000 miles and we are still rolling on down the highways and byways!
Adam was born in Toledo, Ohio & raised in Seminole, Florida, and his wife Tracy was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. We met in 1992 and married May 31, 1996 and we have one beautiful daughter and a handsome little grandson.
While living in Alaska we started our business, "Arehart's Glass Emporium, LLC". We sold our glass art at several craft shows and the Alaska State Fair. During the Alaska State Fair Adam would demonstrate the techniques and art of Lampworking.
Adam has always been intrigued by glass since he was a child going to Disney World, he remembers watching the lampwork artist creating beautiful glass sculptures. As Adam got older he became interested in the functional glass art and wondered how they were made.
After researching the Art of Lampworking, he bought a torch and taught himself to blow glass through videos and books.
When he was younger he spent most of his time at the beach and that is where a lot of his inspiration comes from. Aquatic themed pieces are Adam's favorite to make, but he gets a lot of inspiration from nature and likes to express that in his lampwork art.
